Our Story

Bunney Apps started in 2013 in Brisbane, Australia by Gavin Bunney and Queenita Bunney. The idea was to create products that everyone could use, while solving for customer needs in unique and interesting ways. In Australia, we launched three iOS and tvOS apps for the Apple App Store, covering fitness, productivity and news industries.

In 2016, we relocated to California, U.S.A. and brought our passion to create with us. In the United States, we have successfully launched Spellproof for Confluence and Spellproof for Jira, both spellchecking and proofreading products that fix spelling, grammar and style errors on Confluence pages and Jira issues. Spellproof is currently ranked as the #1 spellchecking and proofreading app on the Atlassian Marketplace. We support over 1,800 customers across 70 countries, and continue to grow everyday.

In 2023, we launched Townhall for Confluence, a live Q&A app that helps run interactive and inclusive meetings by engaging the audience in-person, remote or hybrid.
